Google Analytics - User showing 0

Hey everyone,

I'm using the GA connector and am pulling the built in dimension "Date" and metric "Users".  For some reason, every value of Users is 0 except for today (the 28th) and yesterday.  I've checked into this issue a bit by reading previous posts of other members with the same/similar issue, but none seem to really come to a concrete conclusion.  I'd appreciate any help or insight y'all can give me.  Thanks!

Hi @kyleparsons4842 were you able to find a solution? I've used the GA native connector but had some issues with my data too. As a workaround, maybe you can try to test your connection with a 3rd party connector. I currently use windsor.ai's GA connector and I can normally query date and users as metric, obtaining correct results. In case you wonder, to make the connection first search for the GA connector in the data sources list:

After that, just grant access to your GA account using your credentials, then on preview and destination page you will see a preview of your GA fields:

There just select the fields you need. Finally, just select PBI as your data destination and finally just copy and paste the url on PBI --> Get Data --> Web --> Paste the url.

Hi @kyleparsons4842

I read from this link that --

"Identify valid combinations – Not all dimensions and metrics can be queried together. Only certain dimensions and metrics can be used together to create valid combinations. Select a dimension or metric checkbox to see all the other values that can be combined in the same query"

Not sure if this would be a cause. Maybe you could try adding "User Type" dimension in the query too.

Or refer to the message #10 in this thread: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Desktop/Issue-with-users-in-Google-Analytics/m-p/679079

Hello @v-jingzhang ,

Thanks for the reply!  I gave it a try and unfortunately still no luck.  I'm still only seeing values for today and yesterday.
