Get Dynamic Months value/columns in table as per the period selection for any 3 months

I am looking for an approach where the client can select any three months from the Period Selection, such as 'Jan-Feb-Mar', 'Apr-May-Jun', or 'Jun-Jul-Aug'. The selected values should then be reflected in the columns labeled 'Month 1', 'Month 2', and 'Month 3'. I know this can be done easily in a Matrix, but in this case, the number of columns is not fixed; there can be any number of columns after the months. However, the client will only select three months at a time. Is there any way to achieve this?
