Hi All,
Please suggest why we get below error during Gateway refresh in Power bi sever ?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Hi @Snagalapur
This error occurs because the dataset refresh tried to use more memory than allowed by the assigned Power BI capacity (for example: used 23,269 MB vs. allowed 22,595 MB).
To resolve this try the following and let us know if it works:
Optimizing the model and/or moving to higher capacity are the main ways to resolve this error.

Hi @Snagalapur
Thank you for contacting the Microsoft Fabric Community Forum.
As noted by @grazitti_sapna , the error is caused by a memory outage. We appreciate your engagement and the valuable solutions you contribute to the community.
To summarize, this error typically happens when the dataset refresh exceeds the available memory allocated for the Power BI capacity. The recommended steps provided are valid reducing the dataset size by optimizing Power Query steps, using incremental refresh where feasible, upgrading to a higher Premium SKU for increased memory, and analyzing the model with tools like DAX Studio to identify large tables or columns are all effective ways to resolve this issue.
