I recently went to add a field in a table and when I click on the check box on available fields on the right side, I get a floating field that appears over the table. The field is not added to the table. How do I get it so I can add a field to the table?

Hi @BillyV1964 ,
Sorry, it is a design feature of Power BI that when you click on a field's checkbox, it automatically displays a hint about the field and does not apply it directly to the table.
You can create a calculated column and display it in the table.
Column = NAMEOF('Table'[Value])
