Filtering using separate visualisations

This may be a simple one but I've not been able to do it.

I'm using the data matrix preview on a set of data in exchange of a data slicer (it's much more useful for this particular purpose and allows me to display separate values in addition to the filter category).

This filters a set of other visuals and graphs on the page. Great so far. However, when I want to further filter by clicking on one of the graphs, the original filter (on the data matrix) resets. This wouldn't happen on a data slicer.

Is there a way to retain my original filter when I click on other visuals? I've tried using ctrl but while this works on a single visual it doesn't seem to work here.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi @Anonymous,

Currently, it is not possible to do multiple cross-filters in multiple visuals to further narrow down the filtering(as Slicers). Here is a similar idea shared on Power BI Ideas. You can vote it up and add your comments there to improve Power BI on this feature. Smiley Happy

You could try using the visual interactions editing to not have those other visualizations affect your data matrix visual. Nope, nevermind, doesn't work, just tried it. Weird.
