Hi, I want to create a visual table that compares actual revenue to forecast revenue using the two source tables 'Actual results' and 'Forecast results'.
Each of the source tables includes multiple accounts not just revenue so I want to filter on both tables. However I have an issue where the revenue account is called 'revenue' in the 'Actual results' but is called 'turnover' in 'forecast results'. So when I try to filter the visual on both accounts 'revenue' and 'turnover' it won't display correctly. It only lets me filter on one or the other which only produces the correct data for one of the sources. How can I bring in both data sets filtered on different named accounts which mean the same thing?
hi, @HBBB
You need to create the dim fact table and then create the relationship with two source tables 'Actual results' and 'Forecast results' as a bridge.
Then use the dim table as a slicer to filter visual.
If you still have problem, please share some sample data and your expected output.
