I have a dashboard with a time slicer at the bottom, clinician filter, and chart of dollars per client. If I select dates after July 2016, I can also select a clinician to filter the chart. However, any time frame prior results in the clinician filter disappearing. If I select prior to and after July 2016, the clinician filter reappears. I can't figure out why because the clinician table is not linked to the calendar. It's linked to the services on the dollars table. I confirmed that there is clinician data prior to July 2016 on the dollars table. Any ideas?

you may want to put a freeze on the tile that you don't want to see it changed. You can click on the Format --> Edit Interactions and put a stop on the sclicer that you may not want to see it changed.
Hi reast,
>> I can't figure out why because the clinician table is not linked to the calendar.
In your scenario, did you place the time field in the slicer to filter data? Based on your checked value in the slicer, other visuals data will be filtered use “equal” operator. E.G. Check June 2016 in the slicer, other visuals will check if underlying table has corresponding records in June 2016. If hasn’t, nothing will display. So I would suggest you check records both in clinician table and other table used by slicer.
In addition, I’m not very clear your data, can you share the pbix file to us ? We will check the relationship of these tables.

Thank you! I didn't even know about that functionality. Works perfect. 🙂
