Hello sir, I am trying to resolve an issue I am havign with field parameters. My actual issue is that I cannot refresh my app in the powerBI service seemingly due to the field parameters I have created. If I remove the field parameters I can refresh just fine. We thought that our issue may be because I created the field parameter locally in PowerBI desktop before publishing to the service. We use a tabular model in SASS so I thought maybe I needed to add the field parameters directly in the tabular model for the refresh to function since then everything should be directquery rather than the field parameter table being import.

When I try to create the field parameter in the tabular model it is not recognizing my tables/columns. Thanks to your blog post I think I may now realize why. My field parameters are referencing tables and columns as I mention, whereas your blog, and my experience so far trying to add these field parameters in tabular model explorer are that field parameters need to reference a table and measure, not a table and column??? Is that right? Any way to get them to work while referencing a table and column?

The field parameter works exactly as I want it to in PowerBI desktop even though it is referencing table and column rather than measure.
