Hello guys,
I have a set of data in Description column like this. I want extract data in Desired Column with starting index 0 and NUmber of characters as per the value in Required Length column.
Can it be done Power Q/PBIX?
Thank you in advance.
Add new column with following formula:
Desired Description = Left(Table1[Desription], Table1[Required Length])

you have to add it as a column using DAX, it is not thru power query

Okay I did not realise you were providing the slution in DAX. I tried it in Power Query and it worked in following ways. Now I have two ways to achieve this. Thanks.
