Export data from PowerBI(Matrix or Table visual) with fields which not present in visual

Hi Community!

I have done some research and have not found solution of the problem

Is it possible to export data from PowerBI(Matrix or Table visual) with fields which not present in visual or hide these fields somehow in visual and receive it in exported *.xls or *.csv? [not SmartTable custom visual solution]

Whenever I need to add a field and make it invisible to the user but able to export, I just make the column header have zero width so it doesn't show up on the report but still shows up in export.

Turn OFF "Text Wrap" for both values and headers.

I don't know a way to make it disappear completely, but depending on the circumstances and the design of the report, you might be able to add them all to the very end of the table and then try to cleverly cover it up with an empty text box that has the same fill color as the background of your report, but has 0% transparency and no border, then add a vertical 'line' shape that is formatted to have the same color and width as the border of your table, and put it at the edge of your table to make it 'look like' the missing edge of the table.

Unsure how exactly your report is laid out so you'll have to be creative.  But something along these lines.

It's not exactly 'clean'... but your end user won't know the difference.

Hi @kpost thx! Is there a 'clean' way to do column header size = 0? Does not matter how i try to shrink column size-> I still have some empy-occupied space visible(I have 5 hidden fields). Screen:

Turn OFF "Text Wrap" for both values and headers -> step has been provided
