Hello all,
I am building a report for a client and have shown their numbers in a matrix. They want to see number of licenses sold by category (Distributor, Suppliers etc), and then those categories are grouped into top-level headers by type. However, they don't want to include all of the component lines.
For example, in the below table the Type 1 License totals (top level of matrix) should only include Type 1 License Distributor and Supplier totals, and not the 'Other' (apologies for layout but obviously can't add a matrix here and can't share my pbix).
Obviously we could just add separate visuals and filter this out where needed, but this gets messy when cross-visual filtering.
How do we achieve this? Is there some smart option we have not thought of?

Hi, @Gingerjeans88
You can try adding filtering to your Page.
At this point, the View of the Other no longer appears on this page.
Is this the result you expect?

Thanks to the great efforts by MS engineers to simplify syntax of DAX! Most beginners are SUCCESSFULLY MISLED to think that they could easily master DAX; but it turns out that the intricacy of the most frequently used RANKX() is still way beyond their comprehension! |
DAX is simple, but NOT EASY! |
