Hi All,

 

Please could anyone assist by trying to fix up the date table i tried duplicating the spread sheet by removing the Months columns  and inserting only Date and actuals COLUMNS  so it can read in Power bi but still it is giving me a issue of reading dublicates so please can anyone asssit by fixing my data sheet from the screen shot so it can read Date Table and Actuals so i can create quarters,Months and Years  in power bi?

since there are only months value, so how to define exact date in those months?

 

Regardless, if you want to get months, quarters, and year value, then you need to transform your excel data.

something like below.

- original data

- unpivot 2025 Annual Target

Irwan_1-1750391912939.png

- unpivot other column except ID, Attribut, and Value (Attribut and Value come from previous unpivot)

- extract Attribut using before SPACE delimiter to get year value

- in power bi, create a calculated column to calculate quarter

Hi Irwan, 
apologies , I was trying to calculate the number of KPI status which are "complete and Incomplete"  in a column thus returning value was "2". i want to calculate  individual KPI total tied to the KPI Number rather than two distinct value show/displayed it should calculate and give a numerical total of Complete and Incomplete itself? ( Hope This Is Clear)

Thanks for reaching out to the Microsoft fabric community forum.

It looks like you are trying to read a Data table and is unable to do it as you tried duplication and PowerQuery is throwing error with duplicate values. As @Irwan has already responded to your query, kindly go through his response and check if the issue can be resolved.

Noted Tried it , but still confused , i"ll send you the Snapshots that i have being working on. I have dublicated all data sets to the date tabl This is the excel  duplicated dataThis is the excel duplicated data

 

power bi counts dublicated valuespower bi counts dublicated values

 

e but tried to get

  1. Distinct Count for the KPI status but still returns two it should aleast count the Number of KPi achieved and Number of KPI Unachieved without calculating the dublicates
  2. and Sum of the otput indicator in values 
  3. how to calculate text without calculating the duplicatesDuplicated Sets in ExcelDuplicated Sets in ExcelCalculates the dublicates alsoCalculates the dublicates also

i am kinda confused, can you describe more what is your requirement and your expected result from that sample table.
