Error opening empty PowerBI Desktop

This error occurs when opening PowerBI Desktop (both empty or pbix files):

Something went wrong

An error occured while rendering the report.

Problem solved.
We had to uninstall PowerBI Desktop and MANUALLY clean the windows registry from all the remaining keys,  then install the software again.

Problem solved.
We had to uninstall PowerBI Desktop and MANUALLY clean the windows registry from all the remaining keys,  then install the software again.

Hi,

the issue didn't appen before.

Unfortunately I can't run PowerBI as administrator because I don't have grants

I'm on Win 7 machine

Did the issue happen before? Please try to run Power BI desktop as administrator to see if the same issue occurs.
