Error excel connexion on dataset (Premium) with "complex" RLS

Hi 

We have a dataset who have :

- a security table , upn  and code(s)

- 2 fact tables , 6 dimensions

RLS :

- 4 dimensions with a OR Condition on the first table 

- 2 dimensions with a OR Condition on the second fact table

a combination that gives the following roles :

in the model the security table is not linked to any table :  

In power bi service , its ok 

But from excel :

we have other datasets with simpler RLS and it works.

we have update excel and Analyser for excel, the same.

An idea ?

Hi, @Cobra77 ;

RLS doesn't apply to a user if they have edit permission on the dataset. If a user is an Admin, Member, or Contributor to a workspace a dataset is in, they have edit permission on the dataset.

If the user who ONLY has Viewer role with Build permission added uses Analyze in Excel, RLS should be fully in effect like it is for Power BI desktop.
