Hi @Anonymous
Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Fabric Community Forum.

Thank you @Deku and @nilendraFabric for your prompt response.

The error message "You can't get there from here" from Microsoft typically indicates a Conditional Access Policy or account restriction blocking the sign-in. When ArcGIS Maps for Power BI attempts to use Microsoft login, but your organization has policies that block external app access or personal accounts in certain authentication flows, this kind of error is thrown.

ArcGIS Maps in Power BI uses OAuth authentication. Microsoft accounts (especially employee accounts) often have strict conditional access rules or multi-factor policies that prevent this integration. When trying to log in to an ArcGIS Enterprise portal, the ArcGIS visual tries to use an embedded browser (like IE or Edge WebView), which may not fully support all required policies like full SSO.

ArcGIS Maps for Power BI works best with ArcGIS Online accounts, not Enterprise. If you can test using an ArcGIS Online user , the login usually works without issue. You can switch from "ArcGIS Online or Enterprise" to "ArcGIS Online" in the dropdown and sign in.

As a Microsoft employee, you may be under Azure AD Conditional Access, which could be blocking this flow.

Ask your IT/security team to:Review and temporarily allow ArcGIS Maps for Power BI as a trusted app.Check Enterprise Application logs in Azure AD to see which Conditional Access policy blocked the sign-in.Allow OAuth authentication to https://www.arcgis.com or your enterprise portal from embedded browsers.

Think map visuals tend to use API calls, so risk of data lost. There is a setting to blocks it use in an org. Looks like Microsoft has blocked this for you

hello @Anonymous

Try these steps:

Ensure ArcGIS Maps for Power BI is enabled in Power BI service settings (Settings > General > ArcGIS Maps)

Navigate to `%LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Power BI Desktop` and delete the `CEF`, `WebView2`, and `Cache` folders

For Microsoft Store installations, clear `C:\Users\<user>\Microsoft\Power BI Desktop Store App`

Clear browser cookies/storage for `app.powerbi.com`
