Embed Option for SharePoint

Hi, I have the Power BI desktop client and a Power BI License but I do not see the EmBED Option in the 'File menu' so can not get the code for a report to embed into a SP Page.

I know I did this once before when I played with it months ago, but it's just not there anymore.   Having googled I have found a couple of posts suggesting a setting needs to be made in the tenant to enable website publishing but this is Not what I want... I just want to embed to SP Online.

What am I doing wrong ? Where is my button? 😉

Many thanks, Julie

Many thanks SyK for the quick response.... I had published it and I know I had done it before so was really confused.

I was using the Desktop Client today (which I had downloaded under 'advanced options) but when I got home I re-downloaded it and this time I just selected 'download from the MS Site (rather than advanced settings and download the EXE file) .  It downloaded it as a webapp via the MS Store and when I opened it via the 'waffle, it opened in the browser and there it was!!!  My button was back 🙂

It does seem to associating itself with MS Teams, so not sure about that but at least I have my Embed option back!

Posting this for anyone else getting the same thing and going down the red herring route of having to change Tenant settings.

You need to publish it to the Power BI Service first and you will see your button!
