Dynamically Dysplay Image

I installed the Visual 'Image Viewer'. I have a filter with 3 options and each selected option changes the image displayed in Visual. However, there is a catch, when there is no option selected in the filter, Visual shows an image (first or last), but I need that when nothing is selected, Visual does not display any images. As you can see in the images, when there is no selection, Visual displays the image of 'dislike'. Has anyone ever experienced this ?

Hi @Anonymous

If you need to ensure that an image is displayed only if a single selection is made on the slicer, you could do something like this:

  1. Create a measure like this, replacing SlicerTable[SlicerColumn] with the column being used on the slicer.

Slicer single selection =
INT ( CALCULATE ( HASONEVALUE ( SlicerTable[SlicerColumn] ), ALLSELECTED () ) )

This measure returns 1 only if a single selection is made on the slicer (I'm assuming there are always at least 2 options available).

  • Place this measure as a visual level filter on the Image visual, set to "Show items when the value is 1"

Does that work for you?

Regards,

Owen

Hi @Anonymous ,

try this Measure:

Selected Image = SELECTEDVALUE(Images[Image],"https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/c/ca/1x1.png")

You may download my PBIX file from here.
Hope this helps.

Regards,

Marcus
