Dynamic Groupings

Hi all,

Im hoping someone can help me. I have a pie chart that displays counts of claims by days of the week. Most of the data falls between Monday to Friday, with only a small amount of data falling on Saturday and Sunday. The issue i am having is that as the data for Saturday and sunday is so small that the label for sunday will not appear on the chart. See below

Unfortunatley the Saturday and Sunday wont always be so low, so im looking for a way to group Saturday and Sunday if the sum of the two days is under 5%.

I have tried manually grouping the days but it throws my sort off.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi @zblm,

You add a measure in the value level of the pie chart, right? If it is, you can create try to create another measure using the formula below and replace it to original measure to check if it works fine.

    Table[Date] = "Saturday"
        && Table[Date] = "Sunday"
        && [your_measure] <= 0.05,
    CALCULATE ( [your_measure], FILTER ( Table, Table[Date] = "Saturday" ) )
        + CALCULATE ( [your_measure], FILTER ( Table, Table[Date] = "Sunday" ) ),
    [your_measure]
)

Hi Angelina,

Unfortunatley i couldnt get thta measure to work. I couldnt figure out how to refernce "Table[Date] = "Saturday"", etc.  seeing as for me its usually just Staurday or Sunday that cause the issue, I created a new grouping and sorted it accordingly.

Hi @zblm,

Based on my understanding, there is a column in your resource table including "Monday", "Tuesday", "Wednesday", "Thursday", "Friday",""Saturday" and "Sunday", so place the column to Table[Date] in my formula. You said you created a new grouping and sorted it accordingly,  welcome to share your solution and mark it as answer, so more people will benefit from here.
