I am using Oracle Database. There are 10-15 tables having a million of records in total. I have to create 30-40 dashboards using this data. Which one would be the better option performance wise? DirectQuery or Import method? or can we have a combination of both for best performance?

Hello @mandarnakil ,
In this case, it's better to import the dimension tables and the fact table that has the billion record usr the direct query modeling.

Hello @mandarnakil ,
You could import the data because its not that huge, but make sure to work it as a star schema and just get the tables and the columns needed for creating the requirments.

Oh, thanks @Idrissshatila for the answer!
Actually, I came to know that the data that I will be working on, might increase further and it might be a billion of records in future, not millions. So what would be the best approach in that scenario?

Hello @Idrissshatila,
I have fact tables and dimension tables in the same data source. First, I used DirectQuery for importing Fact tables. Then I wanted to import the dimension tables from the same data source but the Import option was disabled. So I tried using the below option to convert the storage mode to Import but it is importing the fact tables too which we don't want So I wanted to ask if we can DirectQuery as well as use Import option for the same data source? If not, is there any other way I can achieve this?
