    kdaya,

    Could you please share sample data of your table? I can create a Treemap without any issues, please note that it is not possible to drag measure into Details, only columns can be dragged into Details.

      is it possible to have a column details and a measure in colour saturation

       

      It seems like i have to comprimse on one of them even for barcharts

        No. You can drag the measure into Tooltips instead when you have a column in Details.
