Date not showing properly on X Axis

I am having difficulty with my x axis showing a concatenated date label.  If I drill down into the heirarchy I can see the month, and the day, but none of the data is concatenated.

The x axis is set as type "Categorical", Concatenate lables is "On".  I've tried using the date column from the current table, and also a custom column from my date table.  This issue seems to be arbitrary, but I know that's impossible.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I find this video: Power BI - Pretty X-Axis for Hierarchies. And it shows what you want. What you need to do is to keep "Concatenate labels" off.

For Drill down and Drill up, you can refer to this article.

1. When you do not select the drill-down icon to turn it on , the visual will show overall data like visual 1. So, ‘No year data concatenated.’

2. When you select the drill-down icon to turn it on , the visual will show specify data, for example year 2018 you choose like visual 2. Then, year is not required.

3. In addition, if you want to show data both year 2018 and 2019, you can put Date Hierarchy in Legend like visual 3.
