Hello All,
I have created a data model in SQL to display LIVE Data of Sales, wherein I have a column of Date.
The data is pulled into BI using "Direct Query".
Though the date column is in Date Format (Boxed with red on left top), I do not see any option to Drill down using the hierarchy.
As a result, the data is not grouped even with a month (Entries for different date in a month are showing separately) - Take for example September 2023 has 3 different entries, but I need them to be clubbed as you see in second screenshot (Which is done using Import mode)
Can someone provide me a solution to this problem?
That's possible but it isn't considering them as Date / Month / Year though I change the format from Text / Numbers to Date.
Then you can create a year column and month column then put them together with your date column in x axis.
What do you think? It will work as hierarchy as you drill down or up.
Tried that too !! Not working.
Yes we can create calculated columns, but certain DAXes are not allowed to use in Direct query data. The following DAXes are needed for my report but unable to use
1. DATEDIFF
2. CONCATENATEX
3. LOOKUPVALUE
