Date Slicer is empty

Hello,

My date slicer keeps showing up empty. My date column is set to date with the format (m/d/yyyy). I'm trying to create this filter so I can filter by Month and year. My data is set to be the 1st of every month, 2/1/2021, 4/1/2020, etc. But everytime I put it into a slicer the slicer is just empty. 

I've also tried using a data that is based on the transacation date (so not changed to the first of every month) but the slicer is still empty. 

Can anyone help me with this issue?

Hi @Anonymous,

Any other filter that you applied on your filter panels? They will also affect the items of the slicer.  BTW, can you please share a pbix file with some dummy data to test? It should help us clarify your scenario:

I made a sample pbix file with dummy data. I have Part number and Operation as other filters but even if I didn't have those as filters my date still shows empty.

I can't reproduce your scenario in that sample file, the slicer works well. Any additional filter or condition that applied to your report? What type of datasource and connection mode are you worked on?

I am able to see dates. I added a date slider.

@Anonymous the reason for blank values in the date field could be blank values in the date field. Also sometime there might not be a matching date value in your relationship fields boz of which you get blank in the slicers. If you have a date table, please ensure to put filters of non-blank values. This can help in removing blank in the date fields.

It doesn't let me post pictures and i cant use drive or dropbox for my file due to the nature of my work but i put together a table of my data.

I also checked my fields and there are no blanks at all. It is completely filled out with dates and qty. I do not have any relationships because it comes from a single excel file that is all in one tab. 

My Pass & Total columns are raw data but I used a measure value to Sum it. While my Yield column is a measurement of Dividing pass qty by total qty. 

(i think the table was giving me an error)

Pass QTY | Total QTY | Yield | Trans Date | Month

5              | 5              | 100% | 6/18/2020 | 6/1/2020
