Need to have this in advance editor

You can also try to create a calculated column for calculation the datediff of the two date fields:

DATEDIFF (
[Date1],
IF ( MIN ( [Date2], TODAY () ) <> BLANK (), [Date2], TODAY () ),
DAY
)
