When creating the report in desktop I connected to SQL Server and used database credentials and entered a username/password and was using import for the data connectivity mode. I then sent the report to a co-worker to review the format and data but when my co-worker opens the file and tries to refresh the data they get prompted to enter the database credentials again.
Is there a way to embed the username/password in the .pbix file so that I can send the file to a user without having them re-enter the database credentials?

Currently, Power BI Desktop can't store the credential for accessing data source when refreshing the dataset. So in this scenario, you have to grant the permission to the end users on SQL Server side.
