hi all,
since this morning i suddenly have this message "DataSource.Error: Microsoft SQL: A connection was successfully established with the server, but then an error occurred during the login process. (provider: SSL Provider, error: 0 - The certificate chain was issued by an authority that is not trusted.)". Am using a SQL db connection and use a Microsoft account to logon. Unfortunately, the connection refuses to work ( Message=A connection was successfully established with the server, but then an error occurred during the login process. (provider: SSL Provider, error: 0 - The certificate chain was issued by an authority that is not trusted.)

Thanks, I did the same and issue resolved now.
Hi @Anonymous,
Does the issue happen in Power BI desktop or service? It looks like you are using the encrypted connection to connect to SQL database then causes the error.
Please refer to this similar thread to troubleshoot the issue: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/17615260/the-certificate-chain-was-issued-by-an-authority-that-i...
