Query fail to parse Date Time type for a single day on 29/02/2020 but other days seem to work just fine.Please help.

As tested, if i set the regional setting in Power BI as windows default display language, it works for this kind of date format from data source.
I can't open your excel file since it exceeds 5 MB file size limit.
I think it may be because of other dates in mm/dd/yyyy format or date less than 12. If you want all dates to be in dd/mm/yyyy format. refer : https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Desktop/How-to-apply-UK-date-format-dd-mm-yyyy-in-Date-slicer/td-p/...
