Hi Folks,
I have an issue where I have a postgre database to which I have access to, I aslo have a PBI report that I need to make some changes, when I download it from PBI Service and go to PQ, I need to "enter credentials"

So I'm going to the data source setting global permission tab, and I changed the password (Database is correct)

So I changed the password and click on save (just to repeat, I'm able to connect with that password to the database using pgAdmin, and its working for other folks in PBI too)

After I Change my password I Still cant connect to the database, removing it also not working
Dont get me wrong, I Have dont my reaserch but the solution is just not working for me, Also after i changed my password, tried to connect and failed, I went back to the data souce setting and the password is shorter(screen 2) I'm not sure if PBI just mask password this way or my password was not changed? And if so why It's not changing
I Also tried to test with new file (with no data in it) but it was also not working, I had the same error
I Just dont understand, the database server, user & password are correct, just FYI I'm using something like "db admin" account to connect not my personal one.
Hope any1 can help me with this issue
Thanks,
@Anonymous , there are three 4 steps that are mentioned here to connect to PostgreSQL. Please make sure you have tried those

But all this connectors problem should be already working just in PBI,
anyways, I resolved my issue with VM access,
I have the credentials issues too. Cannot seem to resolve. Using a VPN to ensure I'm inside the security group, I can see the tables in pg4admin, but cannot get powerbi to connect....
When you work in PBI do you work on your local machine or VM? Looks like no one is talking about this but most likely depends on security rules on DB, ask for VM access and try from there
I'm using local machine however I have a VPN. Also I can add the credentials to the postgre driver in windows, then I can get the tables in MS Access without repeating them there... So the tables can be accessed by numerous method EXCEPT Power Bi (which has a built in connector for just this). Frustrating.
I am also facing the same issue can you suggest me some solution that worked for u
