Hi,
I am trying to connect from PowerBI (free account) to an Excel file on a Teams Site. I own the Teams Site, and can access to file with my organizational credentials via Sharepoint no problem (it is how I get the link for the file). When I add the link to Get Data>Web, in the Access Web Content window I enter the same credentials, and no matter what level I select (the root sharepoint site down to the specific file) I get the message, "We couldn't authenticate with the credentials provided. Please try again." I have tried on two different machines. It is a simple Excel file, I can't figure out what is wrong. I also have a seperate account for admin as I manage the entire Azure environment, and cannot find a setting I need to change.
Any thoughts would be appreciated, reading the similar posts I never see a real solution, it just sorta starts working magically.
Thank you.
I am having a similar issue that started on 9/4/23. Prior to that credentials worked fine in both power bi and power automate. Since 9/4/23 the credentials are not working. Issue is in desktop version, on the service and via power automate. Same result with other users. Using Azure SSO to connect.
Hi @CPLLacrosse ,
As far as I know, you need to authenticate by sign in Microsoft account which has access to the file in the Sharepoint Site.
You can edit the credentials in File>Options and settings > Data source settings
>Edit Permissions

Yes, as I said I am using the same login, and it isn't working.
