Data blending using multiple data sources

Hi all,

Very new to Power BI and I have a question about data blending. I know that Power BI is able to do this by editing the relationships between data but what I want to know if it is able to blend data between Microsoft Analysis Services with Google Spreadsheet/Power Pivot?

I noticed that Alteryx does data blending but at the moment, my company is still checking out Power BI and there is no point at the moment to purchase Alteryx.

Looking forward to you replies. Thank you.

Yes Max,

Similar to Alteryx, You can blend data in PowerBI using Query Editor( So called PowerQuery). You can blend multiple data sources irrelevant of where your data is coming from.

On top of that, Using a third party product like Power Update can automatically refresh data on the interval of every five minutes without any interrepution. I would suggest PowerBI is more powerful than Alteryx and have more cost benefits, strong DAX calculation Engine and PowerQuery with custom M functions, Parameters and lots more.

Can integrate with R visuals and continual product improvement with updates released at every month.

Thanks & Regards,
Bhavesh
