DATEDIFF not recognizing columns

I am using this formula which has worked for the exact set of data on a separate dashboard, but now Power BI won't recognize the columns.

 

Target Date Extended = DATEDIFF('Archer Search Report'[Original target date],'Archer Search Report'[Current Target Date],DAY)
 
Any help appreciated!

@Anonymous are you adding a measure or a calculated column? It has to be a calculated column.

@Anonymous can you make sure the column's data type is date or date/time.

The data type is date which should be correct for this situation. I am combining dashboards so the informations should be the exact same (which it is) but it is not working in the new dashboard.
