Custom slicer for a map

Hi everyone,

I've been trying to create a customized dropdown slicer for a filled map containing three options: State, City, Postal Code. The goal is to toggle between these three, aka create a drillthrough but using a dropdown slicer instead.

I've been trying out various DAX functions but was not able to make it work with maps since Power BI requires a geospatial field for a map. Any suggestions/tips as to how can I approach this?

In the data, I have the following location hierarchy:

  • State
  • City
  • Postal Code
StateCityPostal Code
PennsylvaniaPhiladelphia19140
PennsylvaniaPhiladelphia19140
TexasHouston77095
TexasRichardson75080
TexasRichardson75080
TexasHouston77041

Thank you!

is this you are expecting???

Not exactly. Instead of a hierarchical slicer that contains all of the states, cities, and postal codes in it, I need a slicer that only has three options "State", "City", and "Postal Code". In other words, I need it to contain only these three options regardless of how many states/cities/postal the data contains.
