Cross-Report Drill Through to a report with a single select slicer

I have a cross-report drill through to a target that has a single select slicer on it. When I publish the target it has one item selected in the slicer. When I drill through, If that one item isn't selected in the drill through the target page shows no data. I have to go to the slicer and select the value that should have been passed through. 

Any thoughts on how to get the slicer to behave better?

Thanks. I will just remove the slicer and duplicate the report if needed.
