Creating new column

Hi all,

 I have the following requirement.

New column = If column 1 is not blank Then count from column 2 where column 2 = 'Some value'

Can this be done in powerBi desktop? How?

I am new to PowerBi and any help is appreciated. Thanks!

But it would be really helpful if you could provide a little excel file that contains some sample data and a column where you put the expected results.

Upload the excel file to onedrive or dropbox and provide the link.
