Hi
I have below request from my manager,
Create an animation visualization that show revenue, profit, sales by date. Use date as the basis for the animation. Do not show a trail.
I have a table with four columns such as date, revenue, profit and sales.
I don't know how to create the animation visual in Power BI. Also not sure what is meant by "Do not show a traiil?
Can anyone advise what type of visual should I create? How to animate it? and also some one can guide me about "Do not show a trail"
A trail is when where the mark's prior locations are visible, creating a "trail" as the mark moves forward in its animation. So instead of just a dot moving forward, you would see a line behind the dot moving forward (If you were animating a simple line chart).
Here's an example in Tableau, but the same idea holds in Power BI: https://youtu.be/j-QolGag4hE?si=NFYLJVbr5r266mWL&t=179
Hello @bourne2000 ,
check this link to show you how to build an animated chart https://youtu.be/tks7FDn6vKs
but for the trail , you should ask him for clarification.
If I answered your question, please mark my post as solution so it would appeare to others, Appreciate your Kudos 👍
