Creating a matrix visual without using calculation groups

Hi,

I need to develop below table in power BI.The known method for me to have the exact same visual is using calculation groups.

But when I used that method it will reduce the performances.Threfore I am looking for an better alternative which may not impact visual level performance.Appreciate any suggestions.

Hi @PBIViz_2024

This isn't impossible but one of the complex things to do in Power BI and unlike Excel, it isn't very straightforward. Those extra columns after actual data add to the complexity as you need to be able to show the period name dynamically based on the current reporting period. For this, you will need a disconnected table for the column headers and another one for the row headers and then a measure or two to return the desired values. You'll have to consider the formatting as well if you need  to show the figures in percentage, dollar or just plain numbers.

Attached a sample pbix files to help you get started with.
