Creating a dynamic time period filter / dynamic date series based on filtered date.

Hi there I am trying to create a generated series in the "Data" view that changes based on selected filter values.

I start by getting the selected year and month using the "SELECTEDVALUE" function:

I then create a selected date value, by combining my year and month using the formula below:

However when trying to create my generated series I get this error message for the selected date value:

Does anyone know how to fix this error?

Hi @Michaelbean21 ,

The COMBINEVALUES() fuction returns the value which is text type. Try to use the DATE() function.

And in the 'Data view', the data will not be changed dynamically. The calculated table or the calculated column are static. While the meaure is dynamic.
