Creating a Dynamic Column based on 'What if' Parameters

Hi,

I created a Custom Column with the following formula.

Type = IF(Column A >= Parameter1,
                 IF(Column B >=Parameter2,"Star","Question"),
                 IF(Column B >=Parameter2,"Cow","Pet")
                )
The formula worked initially and the Type column was populated with values based on the condition.
But, when I changed the Parameter values, the "Type" Column contents were not getting refreshed.

Is this a limitation in Power BI, or am I doing something wrong? I'd appreciate it if somebody could help with a turnaround.

There is no such thing as a dynamic column.  Calculated columns cannot be created through measures. They are only calculated once, during dataset refresh*.

* one small exception is when you have a composite data model with dataset as  a source and a local copy of the model but even then it is limited to in-row calculations.
