Creating Hierarchies

Hi All,

I am pretty new to Power BI. I have a problem in hand for which I'm trying to find a solution. I have a column in a table with values like

Apple wez

Apple abc

Apple xyz 1

Mango 123

Mango fas 1

Mango kfj 3

Mango llc

I was wondering if it is possible to create a Hierarchy on this column with parents and children like

Apple (Parent 1)

- Apple wez

- Apple abc

- Apple xyz 1

Mango (Parent 2)

- Mango 123

- Mango fas 1

- Mango kfj 3

- Mango llc

The above data is just a sample, very much similar to the actual data. In actual, the column contains many values like this which should be grouped appropriately (maybe by using wildcard pattern matching)

@Anonymous in query editor, add another column and extract value before space delimiter, it will create apple, mango etc.. value and then you can easily create this hiearchy

@Anonymous here is sample code, go to query edit, and add blank query, in advanced editor, paste below code. Apply the changes and one table is loaded, put a matrix visual, add fruit type and fruit column on rows and drill down and you will get the result
