Has anyone else encountered a very very long time and/or locking up when trying to create a GROUP within your Fields (when in Reports) on Desktop?
For Example:
If you had a table for Products and 1 column listed a particular Product Class like Products A-Z
When I try to Group Product Classes into a few Master Classes like
Products A-G under a Group Name "Master Class 1"
Products H-M under "Master Class 2"
Products N-S under "Master Class 3"
then I left Products T-Z in the Ungrouped, but clicked the box for "Include Other Group" which I named to become "Master Class 4" which should do the same as me selected Products T-Z and making a Master Class 4.
When I click "OK" to create these groups Power BI Desktop has not had a box saying "Working on it" and spinning its circle for over 30 minutes.
I have made other Groups on some other tables without any issues but this always seems to happen when the list is a little larger being split into groups, but I haven't tested more to see if this is occuring because i'm using the "Other Groups" rather than actually making that last group. I wanted to do it this way so when we create more products later they will at least default under that Other category since they will 99% of the time go into that if we create them.

Hi Dale,
I am unable to share the file due to all of the contents. Thank you for taking the time to try and assist!
I ended up closing Power BI with task manager after an hour of letting it think.
As I predicted, I reopened and proceeded by selected all of those remaining categories and actually moved them into a group and name it, without doing the "Other" grouping and it worked within seconds.
