Create a slicer that automatically selects all steps prior to the one you select (cumulative slicer)

Hi!

I would like to create a slicer where when I select the 4th option (for example), automatically the first 3 options will be selected too. So it should 'cumulatively' select all options prior to the one you select.

For example:
If I select 1 it should just be like this:

But If I select 4 (for example), it should automatically select 1,2,3 and 4 without me having to hold control to select them all.

So to make it even more clear, when I select 10 this should happen:

Can anyone help me with this, if it is even possible.

Thanks in advance!

Hi @Anonymous ,

I doubt Slicer could achieve such smart functions. Maybe you could add a Index column in PQ and then apply it to another Slicer visualization as well (select the type as "Less than or equal to") .

@nvprasad @richbenmintz  Thank you both for your replies, but I need to explain a bit more.

Unfortunately the slicer I will use is not about numbers, but about steps (in text).

So let's say the slicer will look like this

So I am not sure if your solutions will work, or will they?
Thanks again!

Hi,

The best option is to use "Filter Pane" to filter. There we have the option to choose an advanced filter and apply less than the selected number.

Please refer to the below snap for your ref.

Hi @Anonymous,

why not use the less than or equal to option for numeric values in slicer
