Create a measure based on a filtered value

I feel like this should be easy and maybe my brain is just fried today.

I am trying to show my list of projects and the Decision Points Values in a table. However - the Decision points currently exist in a table like this below and I want them to show in a column, so I thought all I needed to do was create a measure to show them. I CANNOT get this measure to function the way I want it to.

Table I'm creating:

ProjectSchedule HealthRevenueExpendituresBudgetGate AGate B
Project 1XXXX1/1/20201/1/2021
Project 2XXXX1/1/20205/6/2020
Project 3XXXX5/1/202012/31/2020

The Gates currently exist in the columns:

"Gate" and "Actual/Trend"

GateActual/TrendProject
A1/1/2020Project 1
B1/1/2021Project 1
C Project 1
D Project 1

I thought this would work:

Gate A = CALCULATE(VALUES('PP - Project Status AIM'[Actual/Trend]), FILTER('PP - Project Status AIM', 'PP - Project Status AIM'[DP] = "DP-A"))

but it shows a measure with errors and then just says "Can't display visual" when I try to use it

Can you use the simplier version of the formula below?  Or, do you have to have 'Values' instead of MAX?

Gate A = CALCULATE( MAX(Projects[Actual/Trend]), Projects[Gate] = "A")

Not Attached to Values 🙂 Just thought that was the right thing to use! Thanks so much, this worked great.
