How to write a measure for counting cumulative rows without it being year-to-date?

I have a 'Running Count' measure that looks something like this:

Running Count = TOTALYTD ( COUNTROWS ( 'Table' ) , 'Table'[Date] )

which counts the total number of rows by a certain date.

Only issue is my table dates run over multiple years, so for example, if I have 500 cumulative rows by the end of December 2019, it will start over back to 0 at beginning of January 2020, making some of my visual graphs look goofy.

Everywhere I've looked around in the power bi community keeps showing solutions that use the 'TOTALYTD'. Any help on this?

Hi @BBHouston ,

Try this one:

Total = CALCULATE(COUNTROWS('Table'), FILTER(ALL('Table'[Date]), 'Table'[Date] <= MAX'Table'[Date]))
