Counting all rows

I want to show a grouped column chart that shows the number of transactions made within the last 12 months and also the number of transactions made within the selected time period (using slicers).

I'm not really sure how to go about doing this since I'm pretty new to DAX so I'd appreciate your help

Please review this similar blog about how to make last 12 months calculation, if you still have questions about DAX, please share dummy data of your table.
