Count group by

Hi,

How would you write a measure to count distinct and then group by 2 different columns of data?

Distinct count AppId group by AppType and AppStatus.

Hi, @M_SBS_6

Based on your description, you can try the following DAX and if it doesn't work, you can share the pbix file with no sensitive data, the data table (please don't give screenshots), the desired effect and the logic to achieve that effect. Feel free to help you about this problem.

Measure:

DistinctCountByTypeStatus =
VAR CombinedTypeStatus = CONCATENATE(YourTable[AppType], " - ", YourTable[AppStatus])
RETURN
CALCULATE(
DISTINCTCOUNT(YourTable[AppId]),
FILTER(YourTable, YourTable[AppType] & " - " & YourTable[AppStatus] = CombinedTypeStatus)
)
