Specify today as x-axis constant

I have a line and stacked column chart with date on the x axis (no hierarchies) and want to add a constant line representing today.  I have a measure for TODAY() but only seem to have the option of selecting a specific date rather than entering my measure as a field value.  How can I fix this?

Unfortunately, Power BI does not allow the direct use of a DAX measure (like TODAY()) to dynamically set the value of a constant line in visuals directly.
