I am trying to connect with LoopBack API. I am able to connect while putting the URL and appending the Access Token with the URL. But this Access Token will expires in every 14 days and generates a new access token. My Question is how my power bi report will able to update the access token automatically?
Hi @KoustavPurkiat,
How does the Loopback API generate an access token? Are there any other authentication methods?
Best Regards,
Dale
Hi Dale,
What I have understood that 'Access Token' is getting generated from REST API wher eauthentication is given only bearer Token.
Hi @KoustavPurkiat,
Firstly, are we talking about this loopback API?
Secondly, the "Access Token" should be generated by the Loopback API. It could be something we can't do in Power BI. Am I right?
Best Regards,
Dale
Hi Dale,
Exactly, this Access token is getting generated in Loopback API. Inbackend there are some code is running where authentication is given as Bearer token.
Thanks,
Koustav
Hi Koustav,
I'm afraid it's hard to make the code run in Power BI.
1. Are there any other authentication methods?
2. If it's possible to make the token live longer?
Best Regards,
Dale
Hi Dale,
1) As of now Access Token is only authentication is given. Need to check with Team if we can keep basic authentication(User ID and PSW).
2) I dont think that we can extend the expiry date for this token.
Thanks,
Koustav
