I'm moving my reports from Excel to Power BI.
Conditional Formatting missing from most graphs I have created in my Power BI reports, so I have different colous all over the place and different when i update the data.
Is there an alternative way to control the colour of graphs, I can put the #HEX number in each table if necessary.
Hi I tried to colour in all graphs based on the colours defined in the table "Lookup Data Colour" here is the link to the pbix file , happy to do a call if necessary
please provide sample data, focus on one or two visuals and show the end result you want to achieve based on that data
Hi in this screen shot only 2 graphs have the conditional format option.
Looking at one graph you see formatting is not a option and the colour option is disabled
If necessary i can build a sample model
I think I can see what is the problem:
- for the 100% stacked bar chart & stacked bar chart & clustered column chart you should choose something else than "Apply settings to all". You can choose the color you want for each legend category
- for the donut chart you can choose the colors of your choice for each slice
Is this answering your query?
Hi, but you still can't appy conditional formatiing, I have a table with all the results and #hex colour and I want to format as per the the following link Set Power BI Data Color All Visuals to Follow Same Color for the Same Data Point - YouTube
But is condition formatting of graphs is not allowed is the an alternaive way of having consistance colour accoss graphs. i.e. I want a depatment to have the same colour in each graph
NB I rerun this reports for multible clients each week and over 200 different variables
you can conditionally format in Power Bi many graphs. Can you provide an use case you are working on where you encounter the problem, a sample data, en example of the expected output? We are missing the context and it is difficult to provide an answer to your problem.
