dynamically switch column for slicer based on userculture

Hi,

I did a lot of research in the internet but found no answer for the following problem.

I have a fact table for some transactions that took place in different countries.
The country information is saved in 2 columns:
- country_ger (with country name in german) and

- country_en (with country name in english)

Now I made a lot of localization for the report and I'm very happy with that. But I'm not able, to build a slicer that refers to the one column or to the other, depending on what userculture() the user of the report has.

In case userculture() = "en-US" I want the country_en column to be used for the slicer, respectively if userculture = "de-DE" I want the country_ger column in the slicer.

All of that without using a button so that the report user does not mention this switch in underlying columns.

I'm happy and thankful for any advice.

Did you manage to find solution for this? I am also encountering same problem. I want to switch columns on visual based on UserCulture so it is shown when report is loaded to user, but I had no luck in finding solution for it 😔

I thought and tried to achieve this with field parameters, but had no success 😏

Just to make it clear, I do not want to change the axis of a bar chart for example by using a field parameter in the slicer. I want to react on the userculture of the user when he/she opens the report and automatically show the one or the other entries from the one or the other column in one and the same slicer ...

maybe you can give me a further hint on how to achieve this ...
