Conditional Formatting Issue

Hello - I am having an issue with conditional formatting as detailed below. Please let me know where I am going wrong.

As you can see from the table below, I have tried with both column and measure for color. Also notice that there is no record for the month of "May".

When I do the conditional formatting --> background color using color column, it works fine when there is no data for "May" for any metrics.

As soon as I add a metric that has value for "May", it colors for other metrics though it doesn't have any value.

When I try with the measure, it shows only 1 color.

Any inputs here would be really helpful.

Thanks,

Phani

Hi @PS_78 ,

I've noticed that when you introduce an indicator with a value of “May” it causes the other indicators to be colored, even if they don't have a value. So when “May” is introduced, it recalculates the formatting in the dataset. So first I think you might consider adding placeholder values (e.g., 0 or null) for “May” in other indicators to keep the formatting consistent.

Secondly I think you can re-edit your Measure, try using the SWITCH(), IF() functions.

Measure = IF(MAX('Table'[Total]) > 50,"Green", "Red")

Thanks @Anonymous . I accepted this as a solution. I modified the column and did not add any color when the measure value is 0. It worked.

Thanks,

Phani

Hello @Anonymous  - Thanks for the response. Can you please let me know how we can add a placeholder values?

Thanks,

Phani
